We get a savegrp completion every night via email
The bootstrap looks really large, about 430 lines of :

* erpapp6.idx.com:bootstrap date time level ssid file record volume
* erpapp6.idx.com:bootstrap 10/13/04 22:39:20 full 2372789976 19 0 GCK585
* erpapp6.idx.com:bootstrap 10/14/04 22:52:28 full 2272213868 30 0 GCK594
* erpapp6.idx.com:bootstrap 10/15/04 22:24:54 full 242255478 66 0 GCK585

etc , etc.

Is this normal? Do we need it in every email?

Thanks!
-John

Where do you see the size? All that is showing is the versions of bootstrap that Networker is aware of.

Oh I mean the fact that there are 430 lines.
Is this needed in every email?

This does not mean anything else as your server created 430 bootstrap backups, obvioously one every day. So obviously you just append the bootstrap info but you do not overwrite it ...(or it is a bug).

Verify your bootstrap notification.

The bootstrap notification sends to you the result of this command: mminfo -B
So, If this command results shows over 400 lines, this is correct. Probably you have a bad retention policy configuration.
Normally backup server have 1 month of retention time / browse time and not 2 years !

Bye.

PS.: Why do not use a script to show only a tail of output ?

This was due to running the group the server was in from cron and not setting it to auto enable.

All set now!
