Hi,
Thank you in advance for any assistance you can provide. When setting up a parameter as Boolean value type, options appear at the bottom of the dialog box that I'm not familiar with. I can't seem to find information on these options anywhere including seagate's web site or this site.
A check box labeled "Place in parameter group" is available. If this is checked then other options become available such as an input box labeled "Parameter Group Number:" and another check box labeled "Group is Exclusive". Can anyone tell me how these options are used as it relates to the boolean parameter? Thank you again for your assistance. BTW: I'm using version 8.5.
Thanks,
Danny

These options allow you to:

1. group several Boolean parameters so that
the appear in one dropdown. You can create several such groups (that's why you can specify group number).

2. if the group is set as Exclusive, you can only select one of the items in the dropdown (asigning it a TRUE value while all others are automatically assigned a FALSE).

Cheers,
