Hi,

I created a number of bookmarks in my Word document and these bookmarks will tell my vb app where to insert the values. Now, there are a number of bookmarks that will be inserted with the same values so i'm thinking of creating juz one bookmark for that particular value and have it at a few places.

I tried to do this but it seems that Word does not allow this and I will have to create a new bookmark for every new position where i want the bookmark to be.

Am I doing this wrongly or is there no way to do this?

Thank You

Bookmark names have to be unique. If you need the bookmarked text elsewhere in the document, you can use the REF field to (repeatedly) reference the bookmark.

This assumes that when you insert your text, you do not delete the bookmark. There is an excellent article by Dave Rado at the MVPS word site that describes the procedure.
