Installing a 3-zone paging solution with a Bogan ZPM3 and a Bogan amp via an analog port set as a page port. We have an IP Office IP500v2 with 9.0. We cannot specify paging zones, but instead all zones are paged.

Bogan states that zone paging will not work on a page port (or analog station port) unless we add a VAR1 or TAMB to provide the necessary contact closure. An alternative is to add an analog 4 card to use line side paging which doesn't require the contact closure.

Thoughts on which of these two is a better solution? Or is there a better approach?

I have it working on a trunk
they dial 4 to access the trunk then 0 (maybe another 0 I can't remember) to page all zones
works for years without a hitch.
I think I could not make it work then on an analog extension either and that is why it is on a trunk port.
