BOEXI - Problem with WinAD Plug-in

When updating the Windows AD properties, the following error is displayed. All mapped groups are in fact valid. At this point, no one can login. Any ideas?

Error updating Windows AD authentication properties: The Active Directory Authentication plugin does not support the mapping of Distribution Lists. Please ensure that all mapped groups are valid Security Groups.

Sorry if this is too basic, but when you say "all mapped groups are in fact valid", does this mean you have checked that they are Security Groups, and not just Distribution Groups?

If you use the Microsoft "Active Directory Users and Computers" tool you can check what the Group Type for each group is. You may want to check to see if one of your groups has been changed back to a Distribution Group since the first time you added it to BOE.

Nothing is too basic! After speaking with the Net Admin, one of the Security Groups was changed to a Dist Group. He changed it back and we're now back up and running.
