Help!! I Was just given an HP A4033A monitor by a friend, and it has something I have never seen on a monitor.. BNC connectors.. there are 5.. Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, and Black.. the Red/Blue/Green are obvious, but I am unsure of what the Yellow and the Black hook up to. The 2 remaining connectors on back of the monitor are labeled "HD" and "VD"

Please tell me which goes to which!

THanks

Chris

I saw one of these years ago. It was used on an "Auto-cad" setup. The ones I saw were 21", and used for high definition for drafting. Look on Google for the brand name and you may find the matching video boards!

The other two are for horizontal & vertical sync, though I don't know which is what color on the standard cables, they're properly color coded, aren't they?

There's plenty of vga to bnc cables out there, just search on google, so that monitor should be able to plug into any normal vga video card.

Unless the monitor is a special one resolution, one refresh rate monitor, there shouldn't be any problems.

My post dated 12th March 2004 in 'PC Hardware - Video issues' might share common ground with your problem (except that nobody replied to it!).
