BMP to an Icon

hi .. does neone know how i can change a bmp to an icon .. cause if i use the bmp as the icon the picture in the icon looks too small ... so i thought the only way would be to change it to an icon ... ne ideas ??

A windows icon is 32x32 pixels square. You can use any graphics package of your choice to convert a BMP file to an ICO.
They are not the same format; you can't just resize it and change the file extension.

which package would u recommend, cause i'm limtied to as to what i have ..

If you don't have money to buy a graphics package, Windows Paint will let you convert a BMP to an ICO, but isn't that hot for graphics.

is a good free package, but doesn't support ICO's to my knowledge, but you could save in BMP and use Windows Paint to convert. There is a forum here relating to it if you have any queries.
