BMP 2 PCL 1

I'd like to know if there's a software that converts a bmp image to PCL5 raster file to be used in a report...
I usually prints the bmp image to a text file using the HP Laserjet 6L printer driver to generate de PCL5 code, but would like to make it by a different way!!!!!

Hi everbody.
I am working on a unix environment, and using PCL I have already created the logo of the company. I've been trying to call the macro as an overlay but it doesn't work, so I am just calling the macro with 3X. I spooling five pages in just one printjob. but the logo just print on the first page...How can I do, to make the logo printing on each page?????

Either your enable the macro for AUTOMATIC overlay
with 4X once at the beginning of the job or if you run
the macro with 3X you have to call the macro on every
page. For an automatic overlay, put positioning code
inside the macro.

Hi again:
I figured out how to print the logo on each page, but I am having a little problem...I don't know why on the first page is skiping 1 line before printing the text. I've trying to fix it, but still don't get it...
If you have any ideas, they are welcome..

If your text is down a line on the first page,
I would suspect that the file containing the macro
has a spurious linefeed buried in it. It is easy
for "rot" likes this to creep in, particularly if
you send several macros to the printer in the file.

What I usually do as a pre-emptive strike is to put
the code <esc>&a0R as the very first thing on the first
text line. This code will postion the printing to line 1
so if any unwanted LF's find their into the macro
file, the code will get you back to the first line.

The skipping only happens on the first page because
the overlay is only loaded at the beginning of the
print job.

I checked on my file and I have already added &a0v0H, but anyway I change my code and replaced with your suggestion &a0R but still down a line on the first page...
Do you have any other suggestion that might work? This is my final step and I am stuck with it.

Normally, you wouldn't want to goto point 0,0 if your
line was text. &a0R puts you on the baseline of line 1
not at the very top. The absolute baseline position is
dependent on the linespacing.

Can you print to a file including the macro
and email it to me and I will have a look.

Maybe then it will be clear.

Do you have the &a0R printing on every page or only
on the first page? If only on the first page, make
sure it prints on the first line on every page.

If the # of text lines in the PCL page format was
out of sync with the # of lines your application
was printing, this could explain the behavior you
are seeing.
