Bluetooth headset & PC link

Hi,

I want to hook my Bluetooth Headset to my pc for various functions (softphone, etc)

I was thinking of a belkin USB adaptor. My question is whether speech (and audio) is supported over a PC to headset link. If so does the belkin USb adaptor have drivers to make it appear as an audio device (so it would appear as a soundcard in effect)

Anyone know, or have I got to blow the cash to find out?

Great question - I have the same one - have you gotten an answer via any other medium? Currently using a Logitech USB Headset for my IP Blue Softphone and it just isn't cutting it.

Sadly not, but I haven't had enough time to <insert everyday activity here> recently, so I haven't looked!

I may just have to suck it and see...

I use a motorola hs810 headset and kensington usb bluetooth adapter. I can get the headset and mic to work with the pc but i have been having glitches using it as a soft phone. I to need some help with this issue. But as for the headset and adapter they seam to work great for other apps like playing audio and voice controll.

viaharo: Could you tell me how you setup so that you can use ur hs810 as a headset for ur pc?

I currectly have motorola hs801 headset and BAFO usb bluetooth adapter.
For my bluetooth software, I can find hs801 as a headset service. But I can't connect to it. Could you tell me what bluetooth problem you used, or other configuration u've done? Thanx~~~~~~~

I use a Nortel i2050 soft phone on an HP tablet PC. It's got built in Bluetooth and works well with a Plantronics M3000 earpiece. It's made for cell phones, as all of these bluetooth headsets apparently are, but it works on the PC. I did have to download some drivers that made the PC recognize the headset as an "Audio Gateway" and then had to select it as the audio hardware device in the control panel, but otherwise it worked right off the bat. The trick is to find a Bluetooth headset that can send commands to the PC (Enter and ESC, for example, to pick up/release calls). I'm still looking. When I'm out of the office and I get a call on my earpiece, I still have to run back to the office, unlock my computer, and answer the soft phone.
