BlueTooth Headse on Softphone

Hello,

Have a question. I have a bluetooth headset and would like to use it for my IP Softphone on my computer.
Is softphone compatable with a BlueTooth Headset?

Yes and no. I use G.711 for softphone and had issues with a bluetooth headset. I ended up going back to my DSP-400, which works great. I have never tired a codec that uses voice compression, but it's worth a try.

Thanks.. My computer has been configured to see the bluetooth, but when i run the audio wizard in softphone, it does not see it is a playback device..

That's funny,

I've been toying with this for a day or two... I get the same error on the playback device. I was finally able to get it to work, but cannot adjust the volume properly. I now have it working at a techie's proficency... Not ready for prime time. Still working on it, I have a few exec's interested...

I got the IP Softphone to work with a Motorola Bluetooth headset by downloading personocall software at:

Hi,

I'm using a GN9330. Did not work on my box when tested (Had something to do with the installation of the OS/Drivers). Tested on another laptop and it works well.
Currently running tests in the call center environment.

Thanks All. I have a plantronics bluetooth.
I already have the persona application as i have a DSP 400 headset as well. How to i get the softphone application to see the bluetooth headset? When i run the audio wizard, it only sees my soundcard and my DSP400 via the drop down?

Do you have an Icon that is called "Bluetooth Devices" ? I opened this up, put the headset in the pairing mode and the laptop will search for Bluetooth headsets. Once paired, it will work with IP softphone.

yes, i my computer see's the bluetooth headset.
i will try to pair it again and see..

when the softphone finally sees it, will it be a drop down device in audio wizard?

No. It will still just say Bluetooth headset in the drop down menu.
