My Pentium 4 (1.4ghz) P.C. running Windows 200 Pro is giving me the BLUE SCREEN below every so often. A cold start clears it only to return, I have gone through all the Norton 2004 tools to no avail. Is this a hardware problem... anybody have a clue? Thanks in advance :)

***STOP: 0x0000000D1 (0xE3C93040, 0x000000FF, 0x00000001,0xBE8047AC)

I'm still having the same problem :(

I have installed a new ethernet adapter... same issue.

One thing I have noticed though is that when I go to

Computer Management-System Information-Hardware Resources-Conflicts/Sharing

I have the following 7 items on IRQ 11

video card - Nvidia Geforce 2
2 PCI to USB Open Host Controlers - SiS 7001
audio driver - SiS 7012
ethernet adapter - SiS 900 PCI (on board)
ethernet adapter - D-Link DFE-530TX
PCI simple communications controller

Anyone think this may be the problem?? I've tried uninstalling all the hardware and reinstalling but it all goes back to the same IRQ.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Could be a hardware item malfunctioning part of the time, or a buggy driver (IRQ sharing is normal in 2k). Did this problem appear recently or has it been happening on and off for a long time? If recent, any changes to software/hardware before it started? Any clues in event viewer? One thing I'd try running chkdsk /f (you'll have to restart machine for it to complete).

I see you have two ethernet adapters. I know of this kind of BSoD because of installing two ethernetcards at the same time. You need to install one ethernetcard and boot de computer normally; then, turn of the computer cleanly and install the other one. The best thing to do is just the same for any other device. I know, that's quite some rebooting, but this should prevent them from taking the same IRQs. Give it a try.

Peace,

hi, i have the same problem as described above. I started to notice this problem when i installed a program called power strip, which is uninstalled right away. at the same time i installed a program called steam, a new mouse and a headset (which i plugged in). Every so often i get a blue screen that says driver_irql_not_less_or_equal with a bunch of numbers at the top, also BE7D47AC at base BE7CF000, 3ecds361 and at the end mrxsmb.sys. i have no clue what to do, and i have no idea to check out what irql's i have. i found a site, but im still not sure what to do. plase help

I have seen some posts relating to Blue Screen when you have AOL. Apparently AOL upgraded a file recently and it is causing w2k and xp to blue screen.

I still haven't figured out what's causing mine. It only happens when connected to the internet though, on either adapter.
