I wanted to upgrade my win 98 OS to win 2000 pro. Every thing went well untill after the setup stage. Then I got a blue screen informing me that there is a hardware problem.
So I tried again, same result. After a couple of retries and lots of coffee I decided to reinstall win98 and try an upgrade. This is where I learned that the problem was my screen card. GeForce II MX 32mb.
I replaced the screencard with an old screen card and it worked fine. I installed Win 2000 pro and after the setup I tried to change the old sreencard with my GeForceII but *?@#$>.<:*#@ the same old blue screen apears and advive me to see the hardware vendor. Why does win 2000 pro not like my Geforce?? I need my screen card. Please Help!

Thanx

Thanx, I did download new drivers, but the error happens before I can tell it where to find the new drivers.

I have a new problem now, every time i want to multi task it give me the same hardware error and I have to shut down the computer and start over again.

How old is your Geforce card? Maybe the card is not compatible with WIN2000.
