Blue screen o'death

Keep getting the blue screen, can't restart in safe mode, tried putting xp disk back in to do an automatic repair. won't pick the disk up and keeps going back to blue screen. even tried a boot disk won't pick it up either. any suggestions????

Don't need to tell you there are major problems...time to reduce to basic hardware items and try booting...and adding/swapping components 1 at a time.

thanx for the suggestion. i ended up having to boot from cd to pick up windows xp and i tried repair from there - didn't work so i just re-installed xp back on.
