Can anyone help. My Win 98 PC has been throwing up some blue screen errors for no reason whatsoever. No programs are running and quite often I'm not even touching the keyboard or mouse! Suddenly I get the message:

...occured at 0028:C0074F29 in VxD VREDIR01 + 00003441... called from 0028:C0078E1C in VxD VREDIR(01) + 00007334

No software has been installed recently and no settings have been changed.

Has anyone got any ideas why this is happening or can anyone give me some tips about how to troubleshoot this??

have you tried ctrl-alt-del once then close all programs except explorer, aoltray.

Also run you anti-virus program, plus run scandisk and defrag

I'am not going to check back so e-mail me if that works one way or another flysmu@aol.com
