blue screen during w2K Pro installation

I am installing w2K, two message I get are

cannot load CDROM,
cannot load Battery

THen I continue, input the computer name, time-zone...

Then suddently I got blue screen:
Page fault in non-paged-area,
beginning dump of physics memory.

What is wrong? Pleae advise!!!!!1

Need some more info...

What type of system are you installing it onto?

Clean install or upgrade?

Booting from CD or the 4 floppy boot disks?

If that fails, REBOOT!

Yes, it is an old PC (not too old) with 1GHz P3 CPU and 256MB.
I am doing a clear installation, format the hard disk, install w2K pro. The device installer error message during installation is:
windows could not load the installer for CDROM.
windows could not load the installer for battery.

The CDROM is: MTRP 52x CDROM and SONEY 12x8x32 CD-RW
What is the battery? the CMOS battery?

What shall I do if W2K don't support? I should download the driver for CDROM, battery? or the loader for the IDE bus? or the monther board driver? In fact I cannot find the monther board driver CD.

I check W2K HCL, this motherboard is not on HCL. Can I stall install w2K?

looks like not. You can check the vendor website (if any..) for drivers. There are a lot of drivers that are not supported officialy by MS (So the HW is not on the HCL), but do work.
