We have two G3's (new blue tower) which switch themselves off for no apparent reason. I've switched all the energy saver extensions to never, and it still happens. Anyone else had this problem?

Do they do this at the same time of day?
Do they do it after being on for a certain length of time?
What OS? 8.6?
Double-check the Energy Saver Control Panel and it's
"Scheduled Startup and Shutdown" button.

Emory

Under the SCHEDULE portion of your Energy Saver control panel - depending on which OS you are using.

In 9.0.4
Apple Menu | Control Panels | Energy Saver | Schedule

and the rest should be apparent.

You could also try rebuilding the desktop file on those two machines and that, in conjunction with a PRAM zapping, should reset that item.
