Hello,

Hope i'm in the right forum!

Can someone advise how Facebook is getting through my banned sites list on our LinkSys RV082 router?

I've added all combinations I can think of , even *.facebook.com/*

but if you type , up comes the website.

I've done exactly the same for myspace, youtube etc and it works fine, so why is facebook getting through?

All advice appreciated.

Thanks for the input.

Personally, I've decided to move away from WiFi, It's never been anything other than hasle for me.

Powerline Networking is the way to go IMO!

Grenage, thanks for your mention of pfSense. I'll have to try to look at that sometime out of curiosity. I don't particularly need that for home use, but I am interested in at least playing around with it, maybe on an old hobbled together pc from parts if I can manage one. Okay, okay, so I could likely manage a few. Or perhaps a handful. Of course, I did give away most of my monitors as I was tired of them collecting dust - CRTs. [wink]

It's well worth a look! For more 'cut-down' installations you can use 'solid-state' images designed for old CF cards; or there is m0n0wall, which pfsense branched from.

Yeah, that'd be even more interesting anyway! I may have a CF card I got with a bunch of junk before, and I know I have at least a couple SD, and Micro-SD cards.. Hmm...

When I work down my list to number 12,912, I'll get started on this RIGHT AWAY! [WINK]
