Hi, I have a subscriber who does not want to receive *Unknown* calls. Apparently they bother her and she can't just ignore them.

This is the ticket:
user requests the ability to block outside numbers to show up as "unknown". *67 doesn't work. Please help resolve this problem. See journal entry.

Is there any way to do this on a MICS for only one subscriber? Id have to think this is an all or nothing type programming change, if it can even be done.

Thank you everybody :)

Unknown usualy means the caller wants it that way, to remain private.
This user should respect that even though they dont like it.
There is no way to get the info from an Unkown caller.

*67 is for the caller...not the receiver.

Eevn with caller ID I could tell the Telco to put what ever name I want when I call people so the name cant be trusted anyway.

Maybe this was misinterpreted.

She wants to block those calls from completing inbound to her. She doesn't want her phone to ring when an *unknown* call is made to her.

Cannot do, you cant program a name to be blocked.

This is not helpfull for your case but if voice mail answers you can setup the CLID table to take in a specific CLID # and route it to where you want including "Disconnect Caller".

What would be nice if the Telco could pass a phony number with the name like:
Unknow Caller
000-000-0000

Then the vmail method would work.

Depending on where you are and who your carrier is, they can add a feature called Anonymous Call Rejection, that will not allow unknown, or hidden callers.

The Anonymous Call Rejection feature is one that AT&T offers with the CID feature. Check with your provider as above.
