I have an old email address (that I disabled) on one of my exchange domains that is getting tons of spam. Ultimately the NDR's fill the que. I need to keep the domain active. Any suggestions on how to block all incoming mail (without generating an NDR) or just having it automatically delete as it comes in? I would rather not have to have the spam take up storage space for a later manual delete. All suggestions appreciated.

Unless there are 3rd party software then I do not believe you can. Exchange only allows you to block the From addresses. If you keep getting the email from the same places you could block those email addresses or an entire domain of addresses like *@spam.com.

If anyone calls and says "I know a little something about computers" just tell them to reformat it.

Hey Bad dog,

I had the same situation a while back. Here is how I solved it:

Create a Public folder named Junkmail (or whatever you like) Give that folder the e-mail address that you have disabled. Then set up a rule in the folder assistant to delete all messages. I have several e-mail addresses set up in this folder, and all of the spam just goes into a black hole. Kind of like a tree falling in the woods...

Hope that helps,

Kristine
