Blocking most users from using OWA (Problems)

I needed to block most of the users from accessing OWA. So I changed the permissions in the (weddata properties) from everyone to Domain admin and added two other user. I gave domain Admin full control and the other users read& execute, list folder content, and read permissions. The problem is now No one can get their mail using OWA. The error message is The page can not be displayed.

HTTP 500.100-Internal Server Error-ASP error Internet Information Service

After trying the website again I got
Error Message:401.1 (Unauthorized: logon failed)

Do anyone know why this happened?

Hello,

There is a easier way... goto into the users mailbox acct under the protocol tab uncheck the http for recipient ... this will disable that user acct from using OWA.

OWA under 5.5 is controlled via the log on locally user right. Create group called webmail and add users who can use OWA. Go to user manager advanced props. For the log on locally, add the webmail group.

Thank you very much for your response. I have 1500 users. I was trying not disable each account, But I think I will go with Zelandakh. I'll try that one.
