Open regedit and go to:

hklm\software\symantec\navmse\2.1\blocking policy\attachment

You will see Dword entries named 'AttachmentNamesx' and 'AttachmentNamesCount'. Create a new Dword value for each of the attachments you want to block. The Dword name MUST be numbered consecutively after the highest numbered existing entry (i.e. if the highest numbered existing entry is 'AttachmentNames3' the next entry must be 'AttachmentNames4'). The data entry must contain only the file name - not a url. If you want to block URLs simply put *.url in the data block. This will prevent any URLs from being received in e-mails.

Once you have made the entries for the attachment names, find the 'AttachmentNamesCount' entry. The value in the data field MUST be equal to the number of 'AttachmentNamesx' entries. You can simply take the highest numbered entry and add 1 (the first AttachmentNames' value is always 0). Make sure you enter the value in DECIMAL, or it won't work!

do you know if it's the same with SMSMSE 4.5?
