What is the best way to restrict certain people in my organization from sending AND receiving Internet email?

Thanks for all responses....

Try removing their SMTP addresses from the Addresses tab.

It's that easy.

I've done more R5 deployments than I care to think about.

I tried that at first but later discovered that those same people were able to still send outgoing Internet email with the X400 address. How is this possible?

Thanks

Go to the IMS and add the users into the "Reject messages from" option....

There is a setting in your Exchange Server. I use 5.5. On the Internet Mail Service properties found under Configuration and then Connections, you will see a tab titled Delivery Restrictions. You will see two window panes. The one on the right, click on Modify and add any user that you wish to restrict from being able to send/receiving any external email.

See my post. I'm having the same problem. I'm a little scared of trying the registry hack Brontosaurus suggested. The email addresses look like this:

testuser<IMCEAEX-_O=MYORGANIZATIONNAME+20SECONDPARTOFORGNAME_OU=MYSITENAME_CN
=RECIPIENTS_CN=TESTUSER@MYDOMAINNAME.COM>

Delivery restrictions does not make a difference with this. There's got a be a way.
