Hey everyone. Does anyone know if there is a way to block certain email addresses from coming through, like in Hotmail, with Groupwise 6?

I have been doing some poking around and I saw an option called Decline/Delete in the Tools/Rules. I was wondering if there was another way.

At the desktop client the rules work best. You can set up a single rule that can delete multiple specific addresses or any address from a domain. If you need info about how to make the rule go to help topics> index> type in "rule" in the blank> choose "creating". It is pretty easy. Let us know if you need more detail or other info.

Cheers,

Mark ;-)

I use GWAVA from gwtools.com. It allows for blocking domain addresses before they get into the GW system. It will also block attachments that you designate, and more. Seems to be working ok. Make sure you use v1.5 with the latest gwmtavs.nlm file too.

I also use Gwava and once you get it set up right it works well. After adding about 30-40 addresses I had 2000 blocked emails in one 24 hour period.
