Can anyone tell me how to block an outside call, from an 800#, from reaching my swith. More specifically, like what load and steps to take. I thought BARS/NARS but that looked my like setup than blocking....so I'm unsure. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

To block it you'd have to callyour Telco, you can DNIS it to a vacant number however..... Is it just a single 800 # coming in that you want to block??

You will need Symposium and a script to block the calls if your telco can't handle

Thanks PerryPJ and Phonz1. It is 1 800# currently, who knows if that will change or grow???? So, blocking it through the carrier is a possibility, but I wanted to be able to block others in the future without having to go outside my network if possible. I don't have a symposium so no redirecting there, either.

Find out what DID that 1-800# is riding on then program a 500 port, disable it. When a call come in it will get a busy signal.
