Blocking an external number

Hi All.

We are constantly getting a call from a fax (number 02072651255), other company's have had the same issue.

Is there a way on a CS1K to block an incoming number or is this only something a telco provider can do?

You say not without SYM - what's this?

As for faxing them back, our client did asking them to stop faxing but nothing. The number the fax is coming from seems to be a common nuisance call – Ofcom in the UK are aware of it but as ever do nothing!

Sym = Symposium which allows you to set up programming that can "see" the number and assign a particular treatment to it, ie hang up, send to message, send to fax machine etc.

Alas we do not have that.

Not sure if you have this in the UK, but in the states you can file a complaint against that tel # with your carrier.
Some like ATT, require a formal police report to be filed.
Carrier can usually take it from there.

Hi, thanks for the reply's.

The regulatory body in the UK is weak as the proverbial. I have logged a complain with them, just in case.
