Long story short, I work at a hospital and our operator is having all her lines BLOWN UP by the same number with an automated message trying to sell something. Is there any way to deny that specific area code from calling the facility? It's taking over the operator and patients aren't able to get through. HALP!

Call your telco and have them put a block on the number.

HOSPITAL? Is it from an area code that would never call the hospital?
You might want to block THE SPECIFIC NUMBER instead.

There really isn't a good way to block incoming calls on a Nortel PBX.

if you use a call pilot, you can create CLID tables and route them to a false AA and send him to a virtual mailbox with a personnalised class of service. otherwise you can't do a thing.

You can do that too... but most of these telemarketers (who are almost always overseas) spoof caller ID anyway - so it's always going to be a challenge to keep up with these callers. Hopefully one day we can take their call centers out with drone strikes.

I spoke with a caller once and politly asked how to have our number removed as they were calling a department in the federal govern. I was then handed to the Manager who created a ticket to have our Nxx removed from their dialing list. since then we have not had any calls from this company.
