blocked popups/javascript lame for my site - HELP?!

I have a portfolio site. I have tried every bit of code manipulation I can think of to bypass the SP2 popup/activeX blocker on IE in particular. I have decided to go with swapping images and that is still blocked by SP2 - how the hell do I bypass this without putting a disclaimer on my site about allowing active content?

You make the changes 'onClick'. SP2 is "supposed" to let user initiated scripts execute. I must admint I haven't had any trouble with image swaps though.
