I have a problem in my network. The computers that are connected to the network can access to the internet. Except two computers. I think the problem here is that the ip address of that computer is blocked. Am i right? What am i gonna do with this problem? Need help...
Thanks.....

Alex

Well first thing Alex, start by comparing the computer's TCP/IP settings to those of a machine that is working. If all is correct, then check to see that you network connectivity is actually working.
Hope this helps.

This could also be a DNS problem. If they can not contact the DNS servers for any reason it will look as though it can not connect to the Internet.

Also check and verify that they are getting the correct info from the DHCP server. You can verify this as mentioned by itsp1965.

I compared the computer's TCP/IP settings to those machines that is working and I found out that the settings are all still the same. Where can we check the ip address of the machine if it is blocked or unblocked accessing the internet? Thanks.

Hi,

If the network settings seem the same, have you tried pinging an address on one of the other computers or the default gateway address?

Peter.

Remember- It's nice to be important,
but it's important to be nice :)

Yup i've tried pinging an address on one of the other computers or the default gateway address, and i found out that the local area network works fine and okey.
