Block User from activating DND 2

Have a site where a user is apparently abusing the DND feature.
Is there a way to block the DND function for a particular user?

The phone is a 9630 on an IP500 V2 R8.1

I have tried setting up a User Short Code of *08 feature: barred.
But that only block them from manually dialing the Short Code to access the feature.
They can still go in under Features/Call Settings/Do Not Disturb and activate it.

I don't usually answer because I am always asking the questions but did you check into System Phone Rights in the user settings? Just a guess.

I don't believe the System Phone Rights access has anything to do with DND.
It looks like that is only for accessing system management utilites such as time of day,system directory, memory card management, etc.

The only time I have messed with System Phone Rights is for setting the time, so you are probably right.

I don't belive you can block any of the features inherent to the Features menu, but you can always add a bunch of DND exceptions to allow calls to bypass DND.

set up a user right for the user and set the dnd user right to unticked, and no matter how they try and set DND it will fail.

What's wrong with "this letter constitutes a final written warning". Blocking DND will just make them find another way.

Meanwhile in 9.0 you can control whether a phone user has access to DND in the phone menus.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

Robb, I don't see anything in user rights to block dnd for a telephone set. The only thing I've found is on the Phone Manager tab but that has nothing to do with a physical telephone set. At least it didn't make a difference when I tried applying it to a user.

It can be done in User Rights, as suggested:

Start with 1 then 2 and at last 3, do not forget to apply to the users

Ugh. Thanks Amriddle for pointing it out for me. I looked through there about 5 or 6 times and looked right past it!
I was probably trying to make it more complicated than it is.

That works perfectly by the way.
