We are running CM 2.0 on a g3si. We have pri circuits with did's on them. We have run out of extensions so I had to open another block which was previously reserved for FAC's. I segmented the block with 700-719 being fac's and 720-799 are extensions. I just bought the range of did's for the 700 block, but I had to purchase all 100 did's. Is there a way to block the first 20 did's from coming into the system? AT&T told me I had to do it on my switch. I don't want to use vectoring.

Thanks,
Dustin

use incoming call handling treatment. Page 3 of the trunk group form.

There is no way to block those numbers. But what you can do is set up a place for them to default to. (Like the receptionist)

I think if you look at the first page of "ch sys feat" look at the DID/Tie/ISDN/SIP Intercept Treatment:...I think that is where calls go for unassigned DID's.

Phoneguy, do I just tell it to del all digits? If so what does that do to the call, just drop it or send it to the operator?

Thanks for your help.

I would record an announcement that says "You have reached a nonworking number at xxxxxxx"

and route those calls to vdn/vec that plays that announcement then disconects.

You can also include a collect digit step prior to disconect that allows them to route to the operator.

You can do whatever you want with the call, point it to another extension, or operator...
