Block level backups?

Howdy,

Been playing with 11.5 for awhile now and i know that the Image Option is only for the server with the Arcserve server installed on it.

I'm wondering if there is a way to do block level backups for remote servers? We have web servers that have a lot of small files and it would be faster if we could do block level instead of file level. Is there something Brightstor has or a 3rd party solution that we can look at?

Any help would be welcome.

Check into Multiplexing them. Up to 4 sources can run at a time to the same tape (unless you have Enterprise Module in which case you can do up to 32)

Hmmm, i shall. Do i need to use WORM capable tapes? or are regular LTO-3s good enough.
