Our police department has requested that we block a incoming call from a specific phone number. The call is coming from a mental institution and legal actions are going through to prevent the calls. However, they have requested that the number be blocked from calling any of our numbers.
We are running a CS1000M Release 750 Q Version 3621. We have CallPilot running too. We have a call into AT&T to help with this process. They did a remote session with us earlier today to try and set up the block. They were doing so in CallPilot which seemed odd. I thought it would be in our CS1000 Element Manager where we do adds, moves, and changes. They are still researching how to do this in our system. When they were going through trying to block numbers on our CallPilot system, I put in my cell phone number to test, and we never were able to get it to block. Still not sure why we were trying CallPilot as that would seem the call would still ring, but maybe not be able to leave a message. Anyway, that did not work, so thought I would try this forum to see if anyone had any information.
Does anyone have any information on how to block a phone number in the CS1000M system? I have access to the Element Manager as well as directly to the switch. Is there anything that can be done to block this number?
