Block Incoming Call from a Specfic Phone Number

Our police department has requested that we block a incoming call from a specific phone number. The call is coming from a mental institution and legal actions are going through to prevent the calls. However, they have requested that the number be blocked from calling any of our numbers.

We are running a CS1000M Release 750 Q Version 3621. We have CallPilot running too. We have a call into AT&T to help with this process. They did a remote session with us earlier today to try and set up the block. They were doing so in CallPilot which seemed odd. I thought it would be in our CS1000 Element Manager where we do adds, moves, and changes. They are still researching how to do this in our system. When they were going through trying to block numbers on our CallPilot system, I put in my cell phone number to test, and we never were able to get it to block. Still not sure why we were trying CallPilot as that would seem the call would still ring, but maybe not be able to leave a message. Anyway, that did not work, so thought I would try this forum to see if anyone had any information.

Does anyone have any information on how to block a phone number in the CS1000M system? I have access to the Element Manager as well as directly to the switch. Is there anything that can be done to block this number?

Any help would be appreciated.

No, we use to have Symposium Call Center, but we moved to Contact Center Manager back in 2012.
 
We would need to know how the number terminates they are calling. Does it ring directly to a phone or hit an auto attendant or an ACD que?
 
I just reread your post and see that you want to block several numbers from being called from a particular number, sorry, not gonna happen without intervention from the local Telco. Nothing in Call Pilot is gonna block it so AT&T is barking up the wrong tree. They were probably changing something in the Restriction/Permission List.
 
We want to block the incoming call to all of our campus numbers. The calls are primarily calling one specific number that is not part of a ACD, but a direct dial number for a department.

Ok, I wanted to make sure there was not something I could do to get this to happen. We will wait for AT&T to show up on November 4 to see how this can be blocked. Hopefully it is something I can do myself in the future as this is a common request from many departments.

I honestly cant think of anyway for you or AT&T to do this through the PBX or Call Pilot. I think the local Telco will have to block this for you
