I am trying to figure out how to block a DN from showing up on other phones when that person calls. I was able to get the name to not show and instead show as "XXXX", but the DN still shows up. I was able to get the name to not display by disabling the NAMA. I cannot figure out how to block the DN too.

I am using a GUI to do the programming from RSI (MerAssistant), so I am not doing this directly on the switch. I have a department that when they call out, they do not want their name, number, etc., to show up on other campus phones.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Thank you!

John

CLBA Activate Calling Party Number and Name per-line

The user may still request CPP by dialing the CPP
code.

Thank you! I tried to "cls clba" and it appears that it took. I just tried calling from the phone again and it comes through as XXXX, but the number (1893) is still displayed. I have pasted the tnb information below.

To hide the DN for internal calls you need CLS DDGD.
CLBA is only for external calls.

Great! That did it. Thank you so much! I made the change to cls ddgd and had them try it and it worked as they wanted. What does DDGD stand for exactly? As I mentioned, we are using a GUI to program our switch, but I do not see DDGD on any of the screens. I made the change by connecting to the switch and entering it manually for the TN.

This is great(DDGD)and I have had several of our IT staff request it(they want all calls to come to the helpline first) However when they call outside, it appears as private number(no call id). I have looked through the CLS and don't see anything that does digit blocking for internal calls only.

You can change the "Name" of the phone to be the Help Desk number.

For example "4357 Joe Smith" is the CPND
XXXX is the hidden DN

That is not really what i am trying to do.
I do not want the DN pushed internal.
I do want the call id pushed external.

the DDGD is doing what i want for internal. But it is causing external calls to not push any call id and appear as "private number

This worked great as I mentioned. Now, how do I turn it off if I enabled it for a DN? I issued the command on the switch for DDGD. How do I enable that again?

Thank you!

John
