Getting harassing calls.

Would like to block their number.

Calls not be answered by an Auto-Attendant - ring straight to the DID or come via the receptionist.

CLID Routing does not seem to work in my tests. I guess AA needs to be used for CLID Routing?

Any idea on how I might accomplish this in the phone system? I know I can call LEC and they will probably be able to do it, but was hoping I could do it in the phone system itself.

Doesn't help you now, but this is just one more thing the eMetroTel switch does with ease. Just add the number to the Blacklist. You can do it manually through the GUI or enter *30 and the number from your phone. Enter *31 and the number to remove it and *32 from your set to blacklist the last number that called you, in case they just hangup. Pretty cool but I realize it doesn't help you with your issue.

Sorry.

That is what I thought. The AA has to be used.

A member of my staff was telling me to try F983 11. Never really used that feature but wasn't sure how it would be different than CLID Routing under Auto-Attendant.

I planned to test it in the lab but my lab system decided to die today so now I have to rebuild it, and dint feel like driving across town to our other office with a running BCM.

If anyone has any thoughts on if the F983 11 is different than the GUI please let me know.

Thanks.

What is it you need to test?
It simply wont work unless you use AA.

F983 is programming from a phone
GUI is programming from a web browser.
GUI has more options then F983

F983 11 is exactly what I told you to use which is the Caller ID Table.
