What database platform?
What is contained in the BLOB? Ken Hamady, On-site/Phone Crystal Reports Training/Consulting

The point is Crystal uses OLE in order to display the Blob field, the problem is many apps claims to be OLE compatible but in fact very few are completely capable of that I suggest that you associate the file with a reliable OLE provider (You're going to hate me for this ) like the Microsoft Photo Editor (yes, the one bundled with the office) and then reinsert the images using the PHOTOEDITOR as the OLE provider
Tell me how it goes
I now see that I left out - not on purpose - the most important piece of information. The BLOB contains text.
I got an answer from CrystalDecision's support which has told me that text cannot be displayed by a BLOB.
I am still interested whether there may exist some workaround to display the text without changing the type from blob to anything else.
