Hi - we have a problem with the size of print jobs being generated via the UPD. For instance a job that is kilobytes in size on a local driver can wind up being tens of megabytes. This tends to cause a lot of problems. Has anyone experienced the same? All tips appreciated.

This is a known issue, especially with UPD II introduced with XP FR3.
Are you printing to network printers ? I mean printers setup on the client under the UNC \\printserver\printer ? If you are using MF XP FR2 or FR3, by default, the MF XP will try to send the print job directly to the print server (still using UPD) and not via ICA. In such situation, the print job is not compressed by the ICA protocol. Check out on support.citix.com articles CTX089874 and CTX681954

The win2k version of the UPD creates crappy printjobs.
