Blinking Keys and Local Diagnostic Mode on M2616

I have a M2616 phone set on I am receiving blinking Key display on the phone. I did an IDU and receive a NPR0503 (Response timeout from IDU (2 seconds)).

I have reversed the Tip/Ring and phone is completely dead. I have verified that the TN is a Digital Card and the Config is for a 2616.

I did a trap in LD 80. It shows that Key 0 is Idle with a SCR.

1. Did you measure the DC voltages on IDF TN ..? I think voltages should be 28 or plus..
2. Did you tried to move the set to other TN ?
3. Change the fuse / surge protector on the IDF TN.
4. Try another set on the same TN.

Check it at the frame maybe a bad TN

Local Diagnostics mode is invoked by holding down the RLS key when you plug in the phone.
I'd say you have a stuck RLS key.

28 VDC

Yes

Yes

4. Try another set on the same TN.

Yes

The RLS key is not stuck.

At the IDF is 28 vdc and at the site in 19.2 vdc. I do not believe that is too much of a voltage drop.

19.2 are insufficient to run a digital set. The line seems to be noisy..check any set at the IDF ..if your answer is also yes to this option then...we have to think more ...

I will go way back here, but are you sure you are on a digital line card? Back when we had digital sets, if you plugged into an analog line card TN, the keys would blink.

Just trying to get a little basic here and not meaning to offend anyone.
