BLF Blinking when Nobody on the Phone

I have a DBM24 attached to a 9640 phone. The BLF blinks red for a User with a B179 SIP Conference phone when the phone is not in use. Any ideas as to how to correct this.

The phone may be connected and the extension active but there may be no user logged in. Try calling an internal extension from that phone, if it shows no user that may be your problem. In that case you can log the user in using *35*extn*logincode#

The phone is registered and the user is logged in. I can make internal and external calls.

Sorry, when no user is logged in it should be solid. Is it a slow flash or fast flash? What does system status show for that user?
