Anyone who can tell me how I shall handle blanks in the CMD string sent to Windows (XP). Simply the command CMD "DIR c:\AB C" does not find anything, while
CMD "DIR c:\ABC" works fine after having renamed. Unfortunately some of the system catalogs contains blanks, and I cannot get hold of their files. I use ObjectRexx 3.3

There is a REXX function called SPACE which will remove blanks from a string, but I don't recall if it's available in ObjectREXX.

Fine, but I don't want to remove a blank, I want the blank to be subitted to Windows, which it obviously isnot. Some of the directory names contains blanks, and I am not able to address them, neither through CD nor DIR or COPY.

(A guess since I'm not Windoze-oriented):

Could you send it thru as "CMD "DIR c:\AB*C" ?
