Blank lines in Text report

I have a problem with text reports and blank lines. When I export using html format these lines are not there and everything is double spaced. Exporting to text files are single space with the exception of every 3rd or 4th record. I have the detail sectiion and field control set to Can Shrink and I have resized the detail fields. How can something so simple cause me so much anguish? Here is a example of my problem. Thanks in advance to any help provided.

There is a query by form applet at

that allows users to specify fields, criteria, sorting, grouping,... and send the results to Print, HTML, CSV, Excel, Word,...

I am experiencing the same problem. Is downloading that applet the only way to fix this problem? Personally I would rather not download any applications.

I usually don't export reports and expect layouts to conform. One report I created had line heights of about 1/8 th inch and not allow the report to grow.
