We have just gone through installing the BES on our server. All our Blackberries are working just fine with the following exception:

One of the Blackberries has rung several times this morning although we are not using them as phones, only for email/calendar etc. When I look to see who has called, I see *2355.

Any ideas?

Most Blackberrys ship with the phone enabled, for emergency use, and they have a number assigned that's primarily for billing. So, these could be real phone calls (wrong numbers, presumably), though the number looks awfully strange.

Gilda, I'm guessing you're using a Bell Mobility BlackBerry, no? :D

The *2355 (*BELL) code is used to test a device's connection to the cellular network. I've used it myself on numerous occasions.

What I think you're seeing is, from the Phone screen, the last number dialed out from the handeld. If it is in the Messages screen, then you may want to check with Bell Mobility to find out what is happening.
