black box around pictures when printing

1)Tiff files from photo shop put in catalog document, look fine on screen and then when printing there's black around image in picture box. Pictures are not clipped do they need to be?
2) I need to install QuarkXpress an another computer. The general manager wants me to use the copy we have & install it without registering it, to save money. Isn't this is illegal and would it even let me install without registering? I wouldn't feel comfortable doing this.
3) New Mac G4 had OSX installed, I used disk that came with it and installed it again (oops! - only used disk 1 of 2). Have I done something really wrong, can it be fixed or should i not even worry about it.

 
1) Does the box have a frame assigned to it? (control B)

2) Yes, it is illegal. It' up to you. I wouldn't.

3) Not sure what you're looking for here. Why didn't you install all disks?
 
2). Yes it is illegal. If you try to run both copies across the network, one of them won't run.

3). Disk 2 doesn't contain anything that will cause any problems.
