In the French version of excel csv files are delimited by a ; rather than , - is there anyway that I can modify this through some setting or other?

Thanks,
Naoise

This will be a computer setting NOT an excel setting - csv files are independant of excel - its just that they happen to be able to be imported into it

Sorry I should have been more specific, I meant that in the French version of Excel csv files are exported, ie when you click save as, with the delimiter as ; not , - is there anyway I can change this?

Thanks for replies,
Naoise

Still a computer setting I believe - excel just picks up what your computer has set as the delimeter. Maybe something under "Regional Settings" ??

It's regional settings. Press the button to the right of language selection. Almost at the bottom there should be a field where you can change the delimiter sign.

Sorry for poor explanation, but my XP is in Norwegian...
