I was wondering if there is any way to check the current BIOS version on a NT4 & W2K server system without having to restart it?

Check with your server vendor. Some vendors (Dell for example - Dell OpenManage Version Assistant) have utilities for this. Marc Creviere

on NT4 use 'START / RUN then WINMSD and go to the System TAB this will give you the Bios info or from your workstation 'WINMSD \\(Computername)and then system tab.
Not sure if it is the same for Win2K

Thanks for the tips.
