BIOS boot logo!

How do I change the brand logo screen at boot. I have a Gateway and the Gateway logo (I presume BIOS loaded) appears before Windows even starts. Can this be changed?

BIOS resides in flash PROM which comes from " PROGRAMMABLE READ ONLY MEMORY". So you do have very little chance to change BIOS bootup screen. Contents of the flash may be changed (if enabled by jumper or by BIOS), this is the case when you upgrade your BIOS firmware. My advice is to leave it that way, because rewriting flash BIOS is a risky thing, you may end up with an unfunctional motherboard which needs to be replaced!
Of course you could export the contents of your BIOS, make the changes in the image file (editing the picture bit by bit) and then make an "upgrade". - this wanted to be a joke, please don't be angry with me. There is always an explanation!
But maybe we don't know it.
The truth is out there!

As they say, "never a truer word...".

Someone else might have recommended not looking at the monitor whilst it was booting up - not me of course!

But attila64ro, myself and many other users here would say stay away from tampering with the BIOS because we don't want to give out the impression that it is a good idea to mess with it.
