Binding multiple IP Addresses on EF0

Hi all,

Im new to SGI Irix and we have a SGI ONYX box here with one network interface card (EF0).

Currently its got one IP bound to it and I need to bind one more. I've tried the good old linux commands ifconfig ef0:0 but it dosent seem to work.

Can anyone please help with this problem ?

See 'man ifconfig'. There is an option 'alias' for assigning additional addresses but I have no experience in using that.

Thanks for the answer. I actually found the solution and posting it here so everyone can read about it.

The command needed was the following:

ifconfig -v ef0 ipaddress
