How do you get bin locations to print on pick tickets?

They should already print by default. What pick ticket form are you using and have you modified it?

Also, are you sure you are using bins or are you using picking sequence?

Has anyone setup a customer to buy products at "X" over cost? While all of the other customers buy at List less "Y"%

I recently went through this same problem. Bin locations only print if:

1) You have elected to confirm picks at time of billing. If you set up your company to confirm picks at time of picking or at time of shipping, they will not print.

2) You set your package settings to use pick ticket recommendations.

Macajah,

Please start a new thread on this topic, there is no relation to the existing thread on bins.

We had this same problem...ended up creating a great pick ticket in Crystal and using a stored procedure to update the order status. We tend to have a lot of transfers in bin locations and using the hard allocation was just not possible, now we use soft allocations and confirm ship, and do not have to lock inventory down at the bin level.

Fishhead714, care to share the crystal report? did you do that in Crystal 9 or 10. I only have 7 and if you can do that in 9 I would upgrade. That is really cool about the stored procedures. My pick ticket report shows all the bins that the item is in via a subreport and then the inventory man circles which bin to get what out of for the warehouse man. I wish I could update Macola from there.

Version 8.5 has better support for using ODBC and Stored procedures on MS SQL 2000. It's supported by Exact. I think we found some issues with doing this in V7 of crystal and upgrade the customer to 8.5 to resolve the problem. Crystal 7 is not supported anyway. Upgrading to the new version past 8.5 you may encounter problems on machines that have both MAcola and Crystal. You also loose the ability to compile reports in V9 and higher and cannot save to a prior version. Business Objects is shipping version XI as the current version.
