Tried to downgrade (dont ask) a 403 to 3.0dt. used at-x3 etc as per manual. All settings are correct. Looking at tftp log manager gets a bootp request, it sends a bootp response and then it says unable to send c:\programfiles....\p2.bin??? Nowhere can I find a p2.bin file. I suspect the unit needs to be sent off for repair as the only time I have seen p2 is in the hyperterminal session ie "P2 Loader 0.9" on a reboot. Any help would be much appreciated

Why on earth did you use the DTE port for a downgrade?
The ordinary upgrade process (with the correct bin files) is all that is needed
the DTE prot is a last resort when all else has failed.

I would suggest that you now try editing the Bootp entry in manager & make sure it is specifying the correct bin file for the system type (ip403.bin)

you may also now need to do AT-x2, AT-X3 & AT-X4 which erase the confing not the bin file! then AT-X to erase the firmware again.
good luck , you now probably need it.

In future leave the DTE port alone unless you have a solid or flashing red light.

I do not Have A.D.D. im just easily, Hey look a Squirrel!

Oh believe me it was a last resort. Did the AT-X2/3/4 and AT-X and still the unit is looking for this P2.Bin file. Any idea what it is? Thanks for the quick reply by the way

Sorry I have no Idea at allif editing the bootp entry in manager does not work try copying the ip403.bin file to p2.nbin & keep your fingers crossed

btw the bootp entry should read

mac 00e007XXXXXX <mac address of IPO>
ip Address 192.168.42.1 (or anything else you want)
bin ip403.bin

I do not Have A.D.D. im just easily, Hey look a Squirrel!

it was the bootp entry forgot all about that ip403.bin file Just sent 100%. Thanks a million for that. A case of staring at something for too long and not really seeing it Again many thanks
