Bill Of Materials info needed plz

I'm trying to make out a query that will have alot of information on it, concerning many database fields. I've been working on this for a few days and can't seem to figure it out. What i'm trying to do is make a bill of material that has also the mfg part number and mfg part description. plz help anyone?

are you writing the query right in crystal or are you using a stored proc? either was, send the code - cant tell you much without looking at it.

this all will be done in CR. the format for this consists of 4 diff subreports and one main one that will tie them all together (correct me if i'm wrong) the first one will be the bill of materials, then the mechanical parts (with attached part id's and descrips) mic part. then associated mfg part numbers and part disc. ... little confusing, but hope i got my point through

If the challenge is to deal with the Hierarchy aspects of the BOM, have a close look at the "Hierarchical Group Options..." under the Report menu in Crystal.

I'm using CR6, I don't think it has that feature yet. The way I was thinking is that it might still be possible to do it using multiple subreports
