Big Sql crash and now livelink does not work

I am using livelink version 9.1 on a windows 2000 server with sql2000 on another server.

I had a big sql crash and no master database backup.

i have installed sql again and imported the livelink databases. I have recreated the sql database users and all the other users.

When i try to login to the livelink server i get the error Could not connect.

When i use a query analyzer i can connect to the database.

Did i forget anything? or is a whitepaper on a to recover from a sql crash?

any help will be welcome

What are you seeing in your THREAD and CONNECT logs ? Suggest that you open your OPENTEXT.INI file and set WANTLOGS and WANTVERBOSE to TRUE and LOGLEVEL to 11 and then any other log features and then check out what is going on.

You may have to relink the database to Livelink or you may have some corrupt data in the database that is causing the issue.

Have you spoken to OpenText about this ?

If the app did not crash and only the DB died you can always
point to a dummy db and rule that out.Then peacefully try to go thru the errors like Greg has indicated.

The problem was that there where in sql orphan users.
after that and a database relink and it seems to work.
